At Lottie Weddings, we love redefining bridal experiences with creative and contemporary touches. Our recent styled shoot brought modern 80s aesthetics to life in the heart of Calgary. The setting showcased a single 8-person table adorned with a lush, oversized centerpiece flanked by two smaller arrangements. The combination of gold-rimmed chargers and light pink vintage glass plates added layers of sophistication, creating a visually captivating tablescape. Blue was strategically minimal, but the last-minute addition of blue baby’s breath brought an unexpected touch of vibrancy that perfectly complemented the environment.
The table's clear glass layering made napkin styling an adventure. With the skilled collaboration of photographer Justine Milton and Lottie Weddings, we transformed the napkins into whimsical white bows, a detail that seamlessly balanced elegance with a playful twist. Accessories were also key to our vision: while the bridal dress was sleek and understated, it radiated an effortless charm. The subtle drama was added through statement pieces—tulle gloves, a striking veil, and pops of red in earrings and shoes, creating an outfit that embodied both simplicity and impact.
To complement the stunning bride, two bridesmaids stood by in soft pinks, reflecting the table's palette and adding to the celebratory feel. An impromptu polaroid session encapsulated genuine moments, filled with laughter and candid fun that emphasized the theme of 'girls just want to have fun.' The shoot also featured a chic cake display and carefully curated flat lays that showcased the intricate details of the day.
Every element, from the large-scale floral arrangements to the thoughtfully layered glassware, was chosen to ensure that each visual told a story. These deliberate design decisions highlighted how balance, color, and detail contribute to an unforgettable wedding atmosphere.
